Locandina

Nine days in GrythyttanHallefors, among large lakes and vast forests of Sweden. StugaProject is a unique opportunity to learn how to work with wood and built using traditional Swedish techniques. A Swedish Stuga or a big Art sculpture will be built during the workshop. Part of the time will be spent in exploration of the area, including more than 400 lakes and its characteristic wildlife fauna. The workshop aims at bringing nature to art, architecture and design, as in the ArkiZoic style rules, that talk about architecture inspired by natural evolution of living beings. Work days will alternate with the bright Scandinavian nights and the traditional ritual of the sauna, which is called Bastu. The cost of the workshop is 900 €. The fee includes food, accommodation, transfers, guided tours and all materials. During the month of July, one meeting at the AtelierFORTE in Milan will introduce students to the workshop and Sweden.

    Stugers:

Gloria

    “NO STRESS” Michele

Costanza

“Waking up in the treetops, washing in the dark and dense waters of Swedish lakes and the magic of making a horse gallop with a single coconut!” Francesco

“StugaProject is a unique, inimitable and unimaginable experience. It is an experience that you must have at least once in your life. Every day is filled with new experiences, new learnings and lots of laughter. Even today, almost a year later, I find myself recounting those legendary 12 days as if only a week had passed… an experience to be redone.” Lucrezia

“A unique experience in close contact with nature and with suggestive landscapes. You have to be ready for anything even in the most extreme conditions, but the reward is two weeks of fun and useful lessons. Testing yourself is the key concept.” Marty

“Rethinking the Stuga Project is almost like having, for an instant, the memory of another life. An unforgettable experience spent in close contact with nature, manually building the Stuga, discovering and learning about traditions and typical products, telling stories, listening to the silence, taking saunas and bathing in the lakes, which in Sweden are inhabited by mists in the shape of elves…” Michela

“A wonderful holiday, among really nice people because they are a bit strange, in a country straight out of a book of fairy tales where, between a raspberry and a frog, you realize that the stars are reflected on the water of the lake and you feel part of an infinite without borders.” Elisabetta

“It was what I wanted, to spend 20 days in the forest in excellent company. We often talk about “contact with nature”, but have you ever been to the StugaProject? In the evening the fire is almost always lit, nothing better than a sauna and a dip in the lake before dinner. Breathtaking landscapes everywhere. Now I want to go back.” Riccardo

“My Sweden, between lakes and forests, building a typical wooden house. Saw, nails, hammer, no running water, no bathroom, no electricity… lost in thin air, sauna every day and swimming in the lake, nature, Swedish cuisine, good company, silence and self-discovery…” Gloria

    “NO STRESS” Michele

“Arriving at the cottage at night after 2000 Km by car just in time to be invited to dinner” “The wild west style meals around the fire” “Pietro who threw very violent buckets of ice water after the sauna” “The legendary prawns Livornese that we cooked last night ^___^” Michele, Rachele, Matteo, Sara

“I participated back in 2014, it was an amazing experience so I highly recommend it. For those who like construction and architecture and would like to spend time learning from the amazing artist Duilio Forte. Or for those seeking to live a magical experience!” Costanza
